Protein Meals

McKenzie Ag Services supplies Canola Meal and Soybean Meal to many beef, lamb, pork and dairy producers around Australia. Deliveries can be made in bulk tippers, blower trucks or with auger trucks.

Canola Meal and Soybean Meal are high quality protein supplements, with useful metobolisable energy and fibre components. Although these products are commonly used in a broad range of supplements, they are an excellent addition when feeding young, growing animals or animals in early stages of lactation.

Legumes/Legume Meals

Legumes are commonly fed as an alternative Protein supplement to Canola Meal or Soybean Meal. Although lower in bypass protein, legumes such as Lupins, Peas, Beans and Lentils have a far higher level of metabolisable Energy, can be trail fed to sheep and flow well through Self Feeders.

Bean Kibble and Pea Pollard are high quality stockfeed derivatives from Legumes that would otherwise be grown for human consumption.

Bean Kibble is a byproduct from the de-hulling and splitting of Faba Beans for Human Consumption. During this process, the Bean hull is removed, and the Bean is then split and packed for human consumption. Any Bean splits that are not of uniform size are graded out and are sold as Bean Kibble for animal feed. With Crude Protein of 30% and Metabolisable Energy over 13 Mj/Kg, Bean Kibble is an excellent inclusion in both Lamb and Beef Finisher rations.

Pea Pollard consists of Pea screenings, hull, shell and flour, which is milled into a fine, consistent meal. Although it does not quite have the nutritional concentration of Bean Kibble, Pea Pollard works very well in Total Mixed Rations for both Beef and Lamb production.

Cereal Grains

McKenzie Ag offers all Cereal Grains on either a spot basis or on a fixed supply contract. Our Cereal Grains are sourced either directly from farm, or through the trade and can be delivered in semi-trailer loads or B-Double loads. Deliveries are usually in Bulk Tippers, but can also be via a Blower system directly into your silos.

Cottonseed

Cottonseed is one of the most naturally balanced ruminant feed alternative available. With a high fat, protein and fibre level, Cottonseed promotes rapid weight gain if fed through an intensive feeding system, can be used as a drought ration or complement low quality, dry standing pasture.

The high fibre content ion Cottonseed results in slow digestion, which provides greater opportunity for nutrient absorption. This, in conjunction with the low starch level, results in Cottonseed being safe to feed, with little risk of grain poisoning or gastric acidosis.

Cottonseed can only be delivered in Bulk Tippers. It cannot be stored in a silo or delivered via a Blower system.

Milled Almond Hull

Milled Almond Hull is a very unique feed option, as it derives its energy level (10 Mj ME/Kg) from digestible fibre. This is not common – most fibrous commodities have a low digestibility, and in turn, low metabolisable energy.

Almond Hulls are available in milled form (which creates a finer meal) or unmilled. It is important to note that the shell from Almonds has very low nutritional value, and should not be confused with the Hull.

Almond Hull is an excellent addition to rations with a high grain concentration. Almond Hull dilutes the starch content, increases the fibre level and reduces ration costs.
